RIZUMIK is an award-winning artist who crosses boundaries between music, body and collective creation - performing, facilitating and teaching at Carnegie Hall, Berklee, NYU, Omega, UVA and IBMF, among others. He's a beatbox champion and TEDx speaker that has worked with Cirque du Soleil, Mayumana, The Voca People, Bobby McFerrin and Nessi Gomes.

Rizumik is an award-winning artist, mostly known for his rhythmical and improvisational skills, using mainly singing, beatbox, percussion, dance, humor and acting. He has traveled the world performing, teaching and facilitating, and has worked with CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, was the lead actor in THE VOCA PEOPLE, was part of main faculty at BOBBY McFERRIN’s Circlesongs course for 8 years, and toured with MAYUMANA in Spain, apart from being a collaborator of NESSI GOMES in her Vocal Odyssey retreats. Rizumik won “Best Vocal Percussion” at the 2017 Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella competition; was the 2012 American Beatbox Champion, and won a Lucille Lortel Award. He has worked with many renowned artists, musicians, choirs, schools and groups, having collaborated with institutions like NYU, Carnegie Hall, Berklee College of Music, University of Virginia, Beat Global, Omega Institute and International Body Music Festival, among others, also having been a speaker at TEDxLisbon.

Rizumik é um artista premiado, conhecido principalmente pelas suas capacidades rítmicas e de improvisação, utilizando principalmente o canto, o beatbox, a percussão, a dança, o humor e a representação. Trabalhou com o CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, foi o ator principal em THE VOCA PEOPLE, fez parte do corpo docente principal do curso Circlesongs de BOBBY McFERRIN durante 8 anos, e fez uma digressão com os MAYUMANA, para além de colaborar com NESSI GOMES nos seus retiros Vocal Odyssey. Rizumik ganhou o prémio de "Melhor Percussão Vocal" na competição Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella de 2017; foi o Campeão Americano de Beatbox em 2012 e ganhou o Prémio Lucille Lortel. Trabalhou com muitos artistas, músicos, coros, escolas e grupos de renome, tendo colaborado com instituições como a NYU, Carnegie Hall, Berklee College of Music, University of Virginia, Beat Global, Omega Institute e IBMF, entre outras, para além de ter sido orador no TEDxLisbon.
