Susana Igreja is an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of art and science. Holding a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of London and postdoctoral studies at the University of Lisbon, she transforms microscopy images and biological processes into paintings, video installations and immersive artistic experiences. Drawing on her background in cell biology, her work explores movement, transformation, perception and the interconnectedness of living systems.

Susana Igreja é uma artista interdisciplinar que trabalha na interseção entre arte e ciência. Com doutoramento em Ciências Biomédicas pela Universidade de Londres e estudos de pós-doutoramento na Universidade de Lisboa, transforma imagens de microscopia e processos biológicos em pinturas, instalações de vídeo e experiências artísticas imersivas. A partir da sua formação em biologia celular, o seu trabalho explora o movimento, a transformação, a perceção e a interconexão dos sistemas vivos.
